Kate’s Real Food is all about real, organic ingredients AND real, organic roots. In the ’90s founder Kate Schade loved to make bars out of whatever ingredients she could find in the cupboard. She’d then chow on and hand out these bars while waiting in line to ski off of Jackson Hole’s famous tram.
On thing led to another and today Kate’s Real Food is a thriving business at the base of the Teton Mountains. It currently offers 5 varieties of bars: the original Tram Bar, the Grizzly Bar, the Handle Bar, the Stash Bar and, a gluten-free option, the Tiki Bar.
“Once people taste them and use them, they realize how satisfying and filling they are,” Kate said.
Here at Garage Grown Gear we’ve been long-time fans of Kate’s Real Food Bars and it really IS all about the taste and how well the bars fuel you in the outdoors.
Check out our more in-depth story on Kate’s Real Food. You’ll learn why Kate started her business, how she bridges the gap between motorheads and hippies, and the eating habits Kate’s friends think are weird.
