Amy Hatch – Founder & CEO
In 2011, Amy Hatch founded Jackson Hole Packraft & Packraft Rentals Anywhere, which rents packrafts both locally in Jackson Hole and throughout the Lower 48 and Canada, via FedEx. Amy is also a founding member and the secretary on the board of the American Packrafting Association, and she’s an ambassador for Hyperlite Mountain Gear.
Her deep involvement in the world of packrafting opened her eyes to the hundreds of independent outdoor gear companies making innovative, high-performing and wildly cool outdoor gear. She began scouting for and connecting others to these equipment, clothing and nutrition companies, and soon she launched Garage Grown Gear.
Amy has a background in journalism. She held the position of managing editor for a community newspaper, worked as a producer for Alaska’s leading broadcast news station, and has freelanced as a column writer, technical editor and documentary film maker.
Amy is an ultrarunner, adventure racer, packrafter, skier (alpine, telemark, skate and classic), mountain biker and backpacker. Most importantly, she’s also a wife and new mom. Amy and her husband live with their daughter and two big goofy dogs at the base of the Tetons – a place they are thrilled to call home.
